Obingwa Ward 7 erupts as Hon. Ibe Nwoke rallies support for Gov. Alex Otti’s re-election
Hon. Ibe Michael Nwoke played host to leaders and members of the Labour Party (LP), Ward 7 in Obingwa LGA, on Wednesday, following the party’s 2026 Elective National Convention held in Umuahia.
The strategic meeting was convened to brief ward stakeholders on key outcomes from the national gathering, while also reinforcing grassroots mobilization in support of Governor Alex Otti’s second-term ambition. Discussions centered on strengthening party structures and sustaining the momentum of the Labour Party across Obingwa.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Nwoke urged ward executives and members to intensify engagement at the polling unit level by spreading the message of the administration’s infrastructural transformation. He emphasized that Obingwa has witnessed notable improvements under the current government, particularly in road construction, healthcare delivery, and local government reforms.
A defining moment of the meeting came when the mention of Governor Otti’s name ignited excitement among the women present, who burst into songs of victory, celebrating what they described as visible progress across Obingwa LGA and the state.
“Eziahakaego is not just a slogan, it is a movement,” one of the women proclaimed, drawing loud chants and renewed expressions of unity from attendees.
