A key aspirant for the Abia South Senatorial District, Dr. Nyerere Anyim, has conuded his grassroots consultation tour with a strategic visit to leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ukwa East and Ukwa West Local Government Areas.


Addressing party stakeholders during the meetings, Dr. Anyim formally declared his intention to represent Abia South at the Senate in 2027. He emphasized his commitment to attracting federal presence to the area, noting that Ukwa East and West have long suffered neglect in terms of federal projects and opportunities.
Outlining his vision, Dr. Anyim assured party leaders of his competence, experience, and readiness to reposition the Abia South Senatorial District if elected. He pledged not to disappoint the people, stressing that his ambition is driven by a genuine desire to deliver impactful representation and development.
In their responses, prominent APC leaders across both local governments applauded Dr. Anyim’s track record and consistency within the party. Notably, leaders from Ukwa East, alongside Rt. Hon. Emeka Stanley, and key stakeholders from Ukwa West, including Chief Sylvanus Nwaji and John Ajuzieogu, expressed strong confidence in his candidacy.
The APC Woman Leader and the City Boy Woman Coordinator also spoke in glowing terms, declaring full support for his senatorial bid and urging party faithful to rally behind him.
Collectively, the leaders pledged unanimous support for Dr. Anyim’s aspiration, assuring him that the people of Ukwa East and West stand firmly with him. They further offered prayers for his success, asking for divine guidance throughout his journey to the Senate.
