UMUAHIA — Office of The National Grassroot Mobilization for President Tinubu (ONGMPT) has commenced its grassroots mobilisation structure in Abia State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The state chapter held its maiden meeting on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, in Umuahia, bringing together 27 state officers and Local Government Area coordinators.
The meeting, hosted by the State Coordinator, Hon. Ugona Iroakazi Nwosu, was attended by prominent members of the organisation, including Dr. Nyerere Anyim, Hon. Madukwe Ukaegbu and Chief Solomon Ubani, among others.
Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Nyerere Anyim said the organisation was established to mobilise grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other party candidates ahead of the 2027 elections. He stressed that the group’s focus was on service and grassroots mobilisation rather than personal gains.
Appointment letters were formally presented to the State Coordinator, Board of Trustees members, state officers and LGA coordinators.
The LGA coordinators were also directed to immediately establish their respective local government, ward and polling-unit structures to strengthen grassroots mobilisation across the state.
The meeting further disclosed that the first batch of official uniforms for members had been provided.

The officers subsequently pledged their commitment to taking the organisation’s message to the grassroots and mobilising support for President Tinubu and other candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
