HON. PETER AZUBUIKE FOUNDATIONS A HOME FOR HIS SUPPORTER IN OBINGWA
On Monday, August 18, 2025, a celebration of appreciation took place in Azuahia, Obihom, within the Abala Ibeme Autonomous community, Obingwa Local Government Area, where Hon. Peter Azubuike, affectionately known as The Rock, laid the foundation for a bungalow for his supporter, Mr. Uche Nwankwo.
A leader who values loyalty fosters a strong sense of commitment and dedication within their team, prioritizing trust, respect and share values. This type of leader understands that loyalty is earned, not demanded, and cultivates it through actions like being fair, empathetic, and demonstrating integrity.
During the event, Rev. Chimaeze John Nwokogu encouraged young people to follow Uche’s example of honesty, respect, and loyalty, emphasizing that these qualities are essential for genuine success.
Mr. Uche Nwankwo shared his experience of meeting Hon. Peter Azubuike through his relative, Hon. Osinachi Abuwa (the Honourable Councilor for Ward 11), and mentioned that he had turned down a salary from his principal in favor of dedicated service. He also highlighted his prior donation of over 1,000 exercise books on behalf of Hon. Peter Azubuike to underprivileged students in Ward 11.
Hon. Peter Azubuike praised Uche for his integrity and prudent use of funds, disclosing that the money provided to Uche was directed toward making blocks for the house. Moved by Uche’s actions, he promised to see the project through from foundation to completion and added an additional 500 exercise books to support the students’ needs.
Uche’s parents, community leaders, and Rev. Chimaeze John Nwokogu offered prayers and blessings to Hon. Azubuike for his generosity.
Friends and political figures also contributed to the project with monetary donations and bags of cement.
In his final remarks, Hon. Azubuike stated:
“Loyalty, honesty, and respect are invaluable traits. Witnessing young individuals like Uche uphold these principles amid difficulties motivates me to do more. My straightforward message to the youth is: remain committed, stay focused, and God will reward you immensely.”
