HON. PETER AZUBUIKE HONORED WITH PRESTIGIOUS AWARD FOR HIS DEDICATION TO HUMANITY BY THE UNITED EVANGELICAL CHURCH
On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, Hon. Peter Azubuike, the Executive Director of Petbridge Nig. Ltd and affectionately known as “the Rock,” was recognized for his altruistic contributions to society and commitment to human development by the United Evangelical Church in Ikot-Ekpene Ogborhill, Aba, Abia State, during the church’s 30th Annual Conference, themed “Relying On God For Good Success – Joshua 1:7.”
In his goodwill message to the attendees, Hon. Peter Chigozie emphasized that God is his source of strength, protection, grace, and provision. He stated, “Without Him, I could not attain the success you see in me today. I will always depend on God for my humanitarian efforts, and I encourage everyone to prioritize God in all their pursuits, reflecting the theme ‘Relying On God For Good Success.'”
He also advocated for peace and unity within the congregation, noting that these qualities are essential for growth and development. “The success I have reached today is attributed to the peace, unity, and positive relationships I have fostered with others,” he remarked. Additionally, Hon. Azubuike contributed 200 bags of cement for the church’s building project and donated two million naira (N2,000,000) to assist in acquiring a church bus. He further allocated one million five hundred thousand naira (N1,500,000) for the congregation and two hundred thousand naira (N200,000) for former pastors.
Similarly, Hon. Maxwell Nwadike, the Executive Chairman of Obingwa L.G.A., along with his entourage and other guests, expressed support for the church. Nwadike encouraged the church to continue nurturing the younger generation, regardless of their backgrounds and to promote peace and unity among members. He affirmed that the church would be fully integrated into the administration of His Excellency Dr. Alex Chioma Otti – OFR to facilitate its growth and improvement.
Rev. Dr. D.E.D. Akwatang, the Conference Speaker, expressed gratitude on behalf of the church to the attendees and financial supporters who deemed the program worthwhile.
Attendees included Hon. Peter Azubuike (Chairman of the event and CEO of Petbridge Nig. Ltd), Hon. Maxwell Nwadike (Executive Chairman of Obingwa L.G.A., Abia State), Dr. Ahukanna Henry Ndubuisi (Secretary to Obingwa L.G.A. – SECLOG), Hon. Dr. Young Daniel Iheadindueme (State Commander, Abia State Community Policing/Vigilante Group – ASCP), and others.
