Aba Killing: Supreme Council of UkwaNgwa Youth Condemn the killing of Military Personnel, Condole with the Army, Families

A COMMUNIQUE BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF SUPREME COUNCIL OF UKWANGWA YOUTHS.

The BOT Supreme Supreme Council Of UKWANGWA YOUTHS on behalf of it’s members condemn the killing of military personnel at Obikabia junction, Aba North LGA, Abia State. We hereby agreed and resolved as follows:

( 1 ). That we hold tenaciously our primary objective of contributing to the peace, security and development of UKWANGWA land of Abia State.

( 2 ). That we strongly condemn the barbaric killing of military personnel at Obikabia junction, Aba North LGA ( UKWANGWA land), Abia State, on Thursday 30th may 2024 and by extension condole with the bereaved families, the entire UKWANGWA people, Abia State Government and the Nigerian Army over the death of military personnel among whom were our illustrations sons of UKWANGWA land.

( 3 ). That we commend the Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Dr Alex Otti OFR, and our National Assembly Members for their quick intervention and resolve to partner with Nigerian Army to apprehend those that commited this unconscionable crime.

( 4 ). That we call on the youths and people of UKWANGWA to be vigilant and cooperate with the relevant security agencies in ensuring the peace security and development of UKWANGWA land.

( 5 ). That we urge Ndi Igbo and Ndi Abia in particular not to politicise the unfortunate and condemnable incident at Obikabia junction in Aba on 30th May 2024, but to be sober while the Government and military unravel the situation. We ask all citizens to be law abiding and obey all military commands.
