Aba North: Idiotic Defense Of Idiotic Action Equals Resignation

Aba North: Idiotic Defense Of Idiotic Action Equals Resignation
The latest puerile excuse from Abia Speaker, Emmanuel Emeruwa, is that the court of Appeal did not specifically order him, as a person, to inaugurate Aaron Uzodike to represent Aba North State Constituency. This much was volunteered today via a radio program on Flo 94.9 FM Umuahia by Abia State YPP Chairman who claimed that Mr Speaker told him directly.
Mr Speaker Sir, please conserve some respect and dignity for your person, office and our dear state. As per the YPP Chairman whose 2 House members, according to grapevines, are set to decamp to LP in the coming days let me remind him of what Jesus Christ said to Judas Iscariot in the Bible book of John 13:27: “What thou doest, do quickly”.
Mr Speaker Sir, in case you don’t have a lawyer advising you, the only document you need to see and verify before inaugurating your brother, Aaron Uzodike, is the certificate of return (CoR) issued to him by INEC.
Nothing more!!!
Consult whoever you believe understand the law, Mr Speaker, then do the needful or kindly consider resigning from your position to save our state from further embarrassment. Abia is a democratic state as against an Empire governed by an Emperor.
The Appeal Court made an order directing INEC to issue certificate of return to Aaron Uzodike of PDP and simultaneously withdraw the one wrongly issued to Destiny Nwagwu of LP. In the eyes of the law, my friend Destiny was never elected a member of Abia State House of Assembly in 2023 even if we all wish he was.
Our law is the Grund norm.
That INEC CoR presented to you by Aaron Uzodike is the end of discussion in this matter because the court can only make specific orders to parties in a case and neither you nor your office was party to the election petition instituted by Aaron Uzodike and PDP. But the law also expects every citizen and public office holder to perform the ordinary duties expected in law. Abia State Attorney General must also know that if he is occupying a lawful office and so advise you and/or the man “above”.
Mr Emeruwa, it is your ordinary duty, as Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, to inaugurate Aaron and whoever is telling you that you need specific or further directives from the court is a crass illiterate. For your own sake sir, if there are “orders from above” stopping you from doing that ordinary duty of a Speaker please resign immediately and/or publicly expose the man called “order from above” so that the people can face him squarely.
Stop whispering Governor Alex Otti’s name in private to some people if you cannot face him in public.
Amazingly, while some are willing to exonerate Governor Alex Otti from what is happening at the state assembly they don’t find it strange that rather than publicly support the rule of law he directed his aides to defend the desecration of Nigeria’s law in Abia State. If Governor Otti is not the “order from above” personified when will he speak out against the non representation of Aba North people in our state legislature? Does the Labour Party and its leaders also support this ongoing travesty?
It is comical that Speaker Emeruwa has moved from phantom court order stopping him from inaugurating Aaron as representative of Aba North people to this new disgraceful defense that makes mockery of a man I used to know as being bold and intelligent while he was in PDP. He mentioned court order against the inauguration and we said publish it for public review and now he is citing another peurile reason.
Is this really the same Emmanuel Emeruwa I used to know or another person has cloned his name and face? My own Emeruwa used to be Aba South LGA Chairman and I remember backing him because I believed he was a good man worthy of my supoort and that of others. .
Uwa di egwu o!
If it is same Emeruwa please someone should call and tell him that his man. Nwandugbom John Okiyi Kalu, is asking him to do the right thing immediately to remove shame from me and our mutual friends..
To the 11 remaining members of PDP in the house, we are looking at all of you. Continue….day of reckoning will surely come!!
