ABIA LGA ELECTIONS: NWOKE CONGRATULATES WINNERS
The former Abia State Chairman of Association of Local Government of Nigeria,ALGON, Hon. Ibe Michael Nwoke has congratulated all local government Chairmen and their deputies at the just concluded local government elections in Abia state.
Hon. Nwoke in a statement made available to the press and personally signed by him enjoined all the elected chairmen to remember that they have the people’s mandate and as such must to fail to ensure that the dividends of democracy is delivered to the grassroots.
He charged them to remain focused and resolute in their pursuit of better local government areas across the state and reminded them that excuses would not be tolerated at any level.
According to him “I congratulate you all for your wins at different local government areas of the state at the just concluded local government area elections held on November 2nd elections.
This is a call to serve and you must do all you can to deliver the dividends of democracy to the grassroots and the people whose power you hold in custody”
“Be reminded that as you begin this task of developing our local government areas, you have a choice to either leave your name in the sands of time or not but just know that excuses of any kind would not be tolerated and the people also have a right of recall. I am happy for you and wish you all the best of luck”, he added.
