Obingwa Council Chairman lauded the late HRH Eze Nna’s dedication to peace, unity, and advancement as he’s laid to rest
THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF OBINGWA ATTENDS BURIAL SERVICE OF THE TRADITIONAL RULER OF ABALA NKAMIRI KINGDOM, 26TH DECEMBER,2024.
On December 26, 2024, Abala Nkamiri Kingdom gathered to lay to rest their revered traditional ruler, His Royal Highness, Eze Elder M/G Francis Ezeji Nna. The solemn burial service, attended by numerous dignitaries, community members, and well-wishers, was a poignant occasion filled with reflection on the late ruler’s legacy and contributions to the community.
The local government was represented by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Maxwell Chinweikpe Nwadike, who arrived at the venue alongside other notable figures like Prof. Joel Ogbonna commissioner for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Dr Henry Ahukanna SECLOG, Hon. Chibueze Otete Esq CPS Obingwa LGA, Mr Gabriel Maduka Nwadiuko, Hon, Obinna Iheanacho Ugboaja Councillor ward 8 and Hon. Emmanuel Osinachi Abuwa Councillor ward 11.The event took place at the traditional ruler’s palace, where the ceremonial rites were observed in accordance with the cultural practices of the kingdom. Family members, chiefs, and residents of Abala Nkamiri Kingdom were also present to pay their respects.
During the burial service, Hon. Maxwell Chinweikpe Nwadike gave a heartfelt speech. In his remarks, he extended his deepest condolences to the family and the entire kingdom, noting the invaluable role the late traditional ruler played in the growth and development of the community. Drawing from the formal condolence message he had earlier sent to the family, Hon. Maxwell Chinweikpe Nwadike highlighted the leadership, wisdom, and guidance that the late Eze provided throughout his reign. He praised the ruler’s commitment to peace, unity, and progress, which had left an indelible mark on the kingdom and beyond.
The Chairman’s speech resonated with the values of the kingdom, reinforcing the communal spirit of togetherness. He assured the people of Abala Nkamiri that the local government would continue to support the family during this difficult time and would work alongside the community to honor the memory of the late Eze.
The burial service proceeded with traditional rites, including prayers, cultural performances, and the laying to rest of the royal remains. Elders, chiefs, and spiritual leaders took part in the rituals, invoking blessings upon the kingdom and praying for the peaceful rest of the departed monarch.
