A COURTESY VISIT BY THE EXECUTIVE OF EHERE ELECTRONICS MARKET UNION, OPOBO JUNCTION.

The Executives of the Ehere Electronics Union, Opobo Junction today, Monday 18th November, 2024 visited the Executive Chairman of Obingwa LGA, Hon. Maxwell Chinweikpe Nwadike at his country home, Umuocho Village in Obingwa LGA.

The visit was described by them as a familiarisation with the chairman of his victory in the last LG election. They interacted with the chairman on issues that border on the development of the market. The Chairman promised to visit the market immediately for an on the spot assessment of the market.

On the Chairman’s visit to the market today, he observed with dismay the continued demolition of the building. Which he had earlier stopped them from working pending when a resolution is reached on issues of boundary and safety of people and facilities around the site.

This flagrant disregard to a constituted order prompted the chairman to give another “stop work order and do not trespass instructions” which was conspicuously written on the walls of the building and any further disregard to this order will attract the wrath of the local government.

The Chairman further observed many uncompleted or abandoned shops in the market which needed to be completed.

Chief Press Secretary,
