#HON NKWONTA HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS MEETING AS HE REELS OUT HIS ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

The Member Representing Ukwa East and Ukwa West Federal Constituency,Hon Chris Nkwonta has charged stakeholders and his constituents to remain steadfast and supportive to enable him attract meaningful developments to the Federal Constituency.
Hon Nkwonta stated this while interacting with stakeholders from across the Federal Constituency in his Akwete-Ndoki country home on Saturday, assuring them of his resolve and determination in offering effective and quality representation in order to justify the confidence reposed in him.
The Federal Lawmaker, however, expressed gratitude with the efforts he has put in place in serving his constituents since 2023 when he was elected into office as a Member of the House of Representatives, adding that though the primary assignment of a legislator is law making, representation and oversight function, he has embarked on several programs aimed at uplifting the living standard of his constituents and cushioning the excruciating effect of the current economic hardship in the country..
He listed some of his efforts to include; the distribution of over one thousand(1000) bags of rice and other palliatives to his constituents across the political parties, donation of about fourty five(45) motorcycles to his constituents, his medical interventions to his constituents with strong medical cases undertaken at the Save A Life Hospital,Port Harcourt,University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital and in some other private hospitals,registration of WAEC for over two hundred and thirty (230) indigent students, registration of JAMB for over two hundred and fifty (250) indigent students across the twenty (20) wards of the Federal Constituency, payment of ten million naira bursary for two hundred (200) indigent students, reconnection and restoration of electricity to Ukwa East after several years of darkness and other numerous support to his constituents.
The Lawmaker, declared that he is happy to announce that he has gotten the approval of the Federal Ministry of Health to establish the Federal Medical Center,Umuahia (Annex) at Akwete and that he has donated his twenty four(24) bed room facility for the take off point of the hospital,he also said that he has commenced the reconstruction of a block of five classrooms at the Police Secondary School,Obeaku in Ukwa East,while;the construction of a solar powered borehole at Ohanku- Ikwuorie ward in Ukwa East, construction of a solar powered borehole at Umunteke- Ozaa-Ukwu ward in Ukwa West, construction of a solar powered borehole at Akwete-Ohandu ward in Ukwa East and the reconstruction of a block of five (5) classrooms at Akwete Primary School will commence early next month as the contractors are expected to mobilize to the various sites.

Speaking during the meeting,the Members Representing;Ukwa West and East State Constituencies,Hon.Godwin Adiele and Hon.Lewis Obianyi appreciated the Federal Lawmaker for his effective representation so far in the National Assembly, urging him to continue in his efforts aimed at impacting positively on the lives of Ukwa people.
Also Speaking,a former Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Abia State,Sir Don Ubani commended the Federal Lawmaker for his significant roles at the National Assembly and his untiring efforts in attracting dividends of democracy to the Federal Constituency,while emphasizing on the importance for Ukwa people to remain united and strong under one political umbrella.
He eulogized the members of the House of Representatives from the Ukwa and Ngwa extraction for their recent bill for the creation of Aba State which he said will usher in more economic developments in the area, urging on the need for the people’s of Ukwa bloc to use the period of the reintroduction of the bill to re-negotiate and state their interest(s) as a people for the betterment of the area..
