Today, we gather here to mark a significant milestone in our journey towards greatness. The first ever Non-Partisan Obingwa Unity Meeting is a testament to our collective resolve to rebuild, rebrand, and reposition Obingwa for development and economic prosperity.
For too long, Obingwa has suffered from the destructive tendencies of desperate and self-seeking people, who have exploited our divisions for their personal interests. But today, we say enough is enough! We are taking back Obingwa, and we are taking control of our destiny.
This Unity Meeting is conceived to promote unity, peace, and harmony among us. We recognize that our diversity is our strength, and by embracing our differences, we can achieve far more than we ever thought possible.
We are also here to promote an all-inclusive and participatory governance. Every voice matter, every opinion counts, and every citizen deserves to be heard. We shall work together to drive development at the grassroots, entrenching sustainable socio-economic development and prosperity for all.
Our vision aligns perfectly with the development initiatives of our Governor Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR who has made it clear that his administration will prioritize the welfare of all Abians, regardless of party affiliations. The “New Abia” mantra resonates deeply with us, reminding us that we are one family, united in our quest for progress.
As your Mayor, I am committed to ensuring that Obingwa becomes a model for other Local Government Areas in Abia State to emulate. We will work tirelessly to promote unity, peace, and development, leveraging on the strengths of every citizen.
