Rebranding PDP with non progressive old order impunity and imposition would boomerang yet again.

There will be further implosion of PDP in Abia state if the current congress is hijacked by a selected few that would attempt to muzzle the voice of the majority of the remaining PDP faithfuls.

Every PDP faithful and stakeholder should therefore retrospect and reflect on the things that made PDP lose Abia state, and resolve to allow majority of the party faithfuls to choose the leaders at all strata of the party hierarchy.

Failure to allow such internal democracy will spell further doom for our great party in 2027.

Once again I advocate for true internal democracy and fairness and equity in the choice of Abia PDP leadership. That alone will give hope to PDP faithfuls who have remained loyal and Obidient to the PDP and PDP decisions all these years.

Anything done on the contrary will push such people to accept the allegations by many citizens of Abia state and some good PDP party men and women that there is no hope that Abia PDP can do things differently and truly rebrand PDP.

We are an opposition party at both the LGA, state and federal levels of government and if we get it wrongly, voters and many disgruntled PDP members will ensure PDP is left worse than its current position in the affairs of things in Abuja, Abia state government house in Umuahia, and the various LGAs.

Let everyone jettison personal ambitions and work for the true rebranding and restoration of our great party in Abia state. Once bitten, they say, twice shy.

Let Abia PDP leadership do things differently and expand PDP borders.

Let us stop being myopic and clannish. the more the merrier, they say.

Let majority decide for Abia state PDP leadership.

Once again, I plead with our current Abia state PDP leadership not to narrow down the choice of state leadership to a few minority.

Various caucus and group meetings are being convened to include only a few persons and, decisions and choices of only a few stakeholders adopted for most wards, local governments and state party positions.

Though this can guarantee tickets for few elective office holders and prospective aspirants, it will not guarantee votes for PDP in the general elections. And finally such narrow mindedness will make many remaining die hard PDP faithfuls to lose confidence in the party and not trust that PDP can get it rightly in future. PDP can not afford to have its number of faithful members depleted any further.

A stitch in time saves nine. Let us do the right things rightly.
