The Asa North Council of Chiefs extended the honour to the Federal Lawmaker at the weekend in Obingwu-Asa,Ukwa West Local Government Area in a landmark but colourful ceremony to mark the birthday of a grassroot leader and the immediate past Transition Committee Chairman of Ukwa West LGA,Hon. Chief John Ajuzieogu attracted the presence of who is who from within and outside the area.

The Traditional Ruler of Asa North Autonomous Community,HRH Eze Emeka Otah said that the honour bestowed on Hon.Nkwonta was borne out of his outstanding contributions, his quality representation at the National Assembly,his visionary leadership style and his unwavering commitment towards repositioning and enhancing the living standard of his constituents.
Eze Otah pointed out that Rep.Nkwonta has fittingly earned himself a place in the heart of the people of Asa Group,describing him as a true and committed friend of the political bloc.
The Traditional Ruler further praised the Lawmaker for his persistent push and people-oriented bills and motions at the National Assembly which have restored hope and confidence on the people of Ukwa Federal Constituency.
Speaking at the event,Hon Chris Nkwonta appreciated the good people of Asa North particularly the Asa North Council of Chiefs for finding him worthy to be honoured in a grand style, saying that he will always remain grateful to them for their support and massive vote during the last election..
He used the occasion to reassure them of his efforts aimed at bringing back the lost glory of the Federal Constituency by offering quality representation to his people while promising that the people of Asa Group would benefit immensely from his representation at the National Assembly and beckoned on them to remain steadfast in their support to him as he has marshaled out plans to attract people-oriented projects to the Federal Constituency.
Other awardees at the event who were honored for their outstanding leadership roles in the area include; the Honourable Member Representing Ukwa West State Constituency, Hon. Godwin Anyamaghiobi Adiele was awarded as a performer, the Commissioner Representing Abia State on the Board of NDDC, Engr. Chief Dimgba Eruba who they described as a worthy son and the immediate past Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Deputy Governor, Chief Sir Don Ubani who they referred to as an unrivaled political colossus and a mentor to so many in the area.
The event attracted the presence of dignitaries from across the Federal Constituency.
