As both the federal and state Governments plan a gradual means of relaxation of the lockdown occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic, I have applauded moves to ease the lockdown.

.) I stated these during my chats with Journalists in my Ozu Abam country home on Saturday 2nd May, 2020. The ease became necessary to ensure that hunger do not take hold of the people as the people needs to balance their meals to protect their immunity against the virus.

.) I described the gradual ease of the lockdown as a step in the right direction.

.) Having admitted that the pandemic took the world unawares, I expressed hope that the end is near as nations are coming up with possible vaccines.

.) While celebrating the result of one of the index cases in Abia which returned negative, I explained that God may have honoured the faith of the Governor regarding the pandemic.

.) I expressed believe that Abia will come out stronger and advocated for the continuous training of the Health workers on proactive measures to health emergencies and prayed God to continuously guide and protect them as they strive to protect lives.

.) I pledged to continue with my palliatives until the lockdown is over and called on frontline workers not to despair.
